Ignite Newsletter - February 2026

February 25, 2026

Dear Friends,

Big news is on its way. The Women’s Foundation of Montana 2025 Impact Report will be arriving in mailboxes in early March, and I cannot wait for you to see it. Inside, you’ll find a powerful story of grassroots solutions, women’s leadership, and record-breaking impact.

In a year marked by significant challenges for women and families, your support meant that WFM could step up and award more than $806,600 to 43 organizations across our state. That’s more than double the previous year’s grantmaking.

That impact reflects not only your dollars, but your time, leadership, skill, and belief in people across Montana. Montana women give boldly and thoughtfully, and because of you, WFM was able to invest deeply where it matters most. From strengthening maternal health and expanding economic opportunity to advancing policy and protecting fundamental rights, our 2025 Impact Report highlights the women and local leaders shaping Montana’s future.

Keep an eye on your mailbox—you won’t want to miss it.

With gratitude,
Kylie

2025: A Year of Impact.

Important Information Regarding the 2026 WFM Grant Cycle

In 2026, the Women’s Foundation of Montana plans to award $600,000 in grants through an invitation-only process, prioritizing renewal funding for current grantees. This approach will provide greater consistency and stability to the organizations we are building relationships with and strengthen their long-term impact. It also reflects our commitment to being a trusted and reliable funding partner to our current grantees.

WFM is continuously working to expand the pool of funds available to Montana-based organizations advancing gender equity. Because of that commitment, our grantmaking has grown dramatically over the past two years. We will continue building new funding partnerships and opening additional opportunities as resources expand.

Later in 2026, dependent on funds available, we will consider new grant inquiries. We are deeply grateful for the many organizations serving women and girls across our state and appreciate your partnership as we focus this year’s grantmaking on stability and long-term impact.

Standing With WFM Partners

The Women’s Foundation of Montana is proud to be part of the National Philanthropic Collaborative of Young Women’s Initiatives, where we learn from partners across the country.

One fellow member, the Women's Foundation of Minnesota, has launched an Immigrant Rapid Response Fund to support families in crisis due to the intense immigration enforcement actions that have resulted in sudden disruptions to work, school, and health care. The fund awards grants on a weekly basis to organizations addressing urgent basic needs, urgent legal services, and community organizing.

What’s happening in Minnesota reminds us how quickly policy shifts can affect working women and families in any state. If you’d like to support these families, you can make a gift to the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota’s Immigrant Rapid Response Fund here.
