About Us

Our Story

The Women's Foundation of Montana (WFM) started in 1999. Together with our donors, we play a vital role in improving women's lives in our state through our foundation’s programs and grantees. Since our inception, we have granted over $1 million to organizations across Montana working to improve the lives of women and girls in our state.

Our goal is for individuals across the state to have the tools and opportunity to build a life and shape a future that isn’t held back by their gender.

Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission: The Women's Foundation of Montana advances the economic security of women and creates a brighter future for girls.

Vision: We envision a future in which the women and girls of Montana enjoy unlimited economic opportunities and are equally represented in leadership.

Our Team

Director Kylie Gursky and the WFM Advisory Committee staff the Women’s Foundation of Montana. Our volunteer advisory committee brings expertise and guidance to WFM's grantmaking. Committee members make recommendations of where to focus WFM’s efforts based on the needs of their communities and raise WFM's awareness of issues that affect communities. Our work is better because they share their knowledge and demonstrate the power of participatory grantmaking.
