2026 Grantees

For the 2026 grant cycle, the Women’s Foundation of Montana recognized the uncertainty and stress many of our grantee partners were facing. We prioritized offering reliable, flexible support and renewed funding for last year’s grantees with minimal hoops to jump through and maximum trust.

One of this year's grantees is NACDC Financial Services (Native American Community Development Corporation) works with people across the state who are underserved by traditional financial institutions get funding for operating businesses, buying homes, and meeting other needs.

When finding trained staff proved difficult, NACDC created the Yellowbird Fellowship to center Native women’s leadership and support Native women developing skills for careers in finance. Its second cohort now includes 13 participants.
But uncertainty around federal grants, a major source of NACDC’s funding, made planning for the fellowship difficult. Their 2025 federal grant application is still in limbo. “That’s really curtailed our ability to have these opportunities,” Angie Main, executive director of NACDC.

WFM’s continued funding helps NACDC sustain this work as it develops a long-term funding plan. Your generosity gives promising ideas time to grow and organizations room to navigate unexpected challenges. Behind each grant is a relationship built on listening, trust and a shared commitment to Montana women and girls.
We can’t remove every uncertainty our partners face. But your generosity gives them something essential: support they can count on. Thank you for making that stability possible.
