The Women’s Foundation of Montana’s 2025 grant cycle is open to organizations that serve women and girls in Montana through direct service, leadership development, or policy advocacy and align with WFM’s vision, mission, and values.
WFM is particularly interested in work led by and benefitting women in rural, tribal, and urban Indian communities that aligns with WFM’s objectives:
- Expand women’s access to essential resources and healthcare.
- Support women in building long-term economic security.
- Strengthen women’s participation, leadership, and advocacy.
Requirements:
- 501c3 or 501c4 (nonpartisan activities), or government entity such as a tribal government
- Unincorporated organizations, groups, and initiatives may apply but must have a tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
- Applicants must serve women and their families in Montana through direct service, leadership development, or policy advocacy and align with WFM’s vision, mission, and values.

WFM will fund work that is impactful, feasible, accountable, and equitable.
IMPACTFUL: Applicants must be able to speak to the positive impact of their work on women and girls in Montana, with a focus on advancing economic security and well-being.
FEASIBLE: Organizations must provide a feasible plan that includes activities, timelines, and a budget while demonstrating the capacity and resources to achieve their goals. We encourage applicants to set goals that reflect their current capacity, understanding that WFM funding is meant to help expand resources and support to achieve those goals.
ACCOUNTABLE: Applicants should be able to explain how they listen to and involve their community in decisions and work with others to make an impact.
EQUITABLE: Priority will be given to organizations addressing systemic barriers, serving marginalized communities, and requiring flexible, values-aligned funding.

- Applications must be submitted by April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
- Only online applications will be accepted
